These beautiful handcrafted tongue drums are a joy to play. The sound of a well made tongue drum is primal, hypnotic, harmonic, and earthy. These are TUNED to SCALE.... a real musical instrument. Many hours of carving in the underside goes into producing ethereal tone. These can be played in harmony with other tuned instruments like guitars and Native Amercian flute, but are usually played solo for their naturally appealing sounds. There are other tongue drums that look nice, but if you value the sound quality, the tongue drum must be in tune. And tuning these instruments is a skill that takes years to really perfect. These are made for musicians, but because they are tuned in a musical scale, anyone can make them sound really good. Just keep any simple rhythm and the keys will ring out.
